Excellent food, great service, awesome view. Tried the crab fritters and the brie and apple grilled cheese. Both were amazing. Highly recommend.

This is our absolute favorite spot to eat on the Oregon coast. Fresh, organic ingredients and consistently delicious food...we never miss a chance to eat here when we can. That clam chowder is our ask time favorite, ever, from anywhere. The Mac and crab bake is to DIE for... The elk burger is outstanding... The fish and chips is also quite tasty, beer battered with a pale ale brewed at a local microbrewery right in Gold Beach. The atmosphere is open and airy, although we usually get our food to go. Love this place! Don't miss it!

This place is awesome!! My wife and I stayed at Jots resort and ate here the first night. We discovered amazing food, fun atmosphere and two owners that are truly passionate about everything they put on a plate or pour into a glass. We ended up eating almost every meal of our trip here. We can't wait to plan another trip up here and come visit these guys again. Thank you so much Sean and Ben!!!

I'm sorry to say that the food wasn't very good! When I received my prime rib, it was undercooked, cold, and very tough! Consquently, I returned it and had it taken off the bill. I then tried to share my wife's salmon pasta dish, and the both of us thought the salmon tasted fishy, and old! I love going out to dinner, when something like this happens, it just makes me sad! I will never go back to this restaurant!

While the food was ok, it was terribly over prioced. He charged me what I would pay at a 5 star restaurant! I told them that I would not pay that much and adjust the price. Have not gone back. Will not go back.

Interesting environment in this establishment but deserted. Perhaps everyone left town fighting the zombie apocalypse that we didn't know about. Live band stage in sight but the band apparently left town in hurry as well. Dined in with my family and our order came in timely manner however the food was TERRIBLE! Chip fries practically dripping of fry oil w/ water down ranch dressing. Hamburger for my eldest son got him puking 3 am this morning. Pollack-esque puke on the wall and bathroom floor shown chunks of burger meat and hint of cheese. Not good. Youngest son had corn dog w/ fries and said he had better. Wife had grilled brie on ciabatta - said it was not what you call "mouth-watering-good" but just "OK." French dip I had was horrible - served with processed sliced roast beef on a stale ciabatta and watery dip (supposed to be au jus). For folks out there, starving from decapitating zombies - STAY AWAY from this establishment. You will be better off dine at the McDonalds than this one.

Avoid this place. Seafood is frozen, literally. Some of the clams in the appetizer were still partially frozen. Seafood entree with pasta was slightly warm and mostly tasteless.

We were looking for a place that had free wifi because the vacation rental we were staying at didn't have it. Our plan was to sit at the bar and have a beer or two while my wife finished some school work. The bartender/co-owner was very friendly and helpful. We decided to have a little something to eat with our beer to hold us off until dinner and ordered their Crab Fritters. Wow was I surprised, they were fantastic! A generous amount of crab, great batter and the slaw dressing was perfect. We were having some great conversations with the other patrons at the bar and decided to have dinner here as well. We split an Elk burger that was beautifully done, simple with Swiss Cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc.. It had no gamey taste and was very lean, but the flavor of the burger and the fixings complimented each other very well and resulted in a fantastic burger. The homemade potato chips they served with the Burger, were the best ever. I believe they are done in a twice fried process with a saltwater brine somewhere along the process and topped with sea salt and some shaved Parmigiana Cheese. The best I have ever had! They had a small three piece band playing and the vibe in the bar area could not be beat. All the patrons talking with each other, including us as if we were local friends and everyone singing along to some great old Rock and Roll songs. Food, drinks. Service and friendly atmosphere, Saltwater had it all!!!

The best place in town (that we've tried)! My husband and I sat in the bar, and Brody, our waiter/bartender was friendly, quick to get our beers, and great with recommendations. The Baked Crab Macaroni was delicious and piping hot! Hubby got the Elk Burger and loved it. Fresh crisp lettuce and ripe tomato. We both agreed that the chowder was the ONLY good chowder we've had all week. Brody was atentive to all the people he was helping even multitasking through a conversation with a very chatty visitor. Listening to the other guests around us I heard the words "Scrumptious" "mmmmmm" and "way better" uttered between bites. It was inexpensive, comfortable, and delicious!

Went here hoping for a "quick lunch" between errands, as I was on Dial A Ride schedule. I got there just as it opened for the day and ordered a bowl of clam chowder. They heated it on the stove instead of microwaving. I liked this, as microwaving it burns my mouth. The clam chowder was interesting. It was cheddar cheesy and one of the owners said they put cheese in it. Interesting! There was also a hint, just a tiny hint of some ingredient that "lights up your mouth," I want to say something like brine from pepperoncini's, but I'm not sure that was it. There was some salmon and other seafood in it, besides clams. As I said, "Interesting." I may go another time just to try something else on their menu. It's a tiny restaurant, so I will say "no" to groups. Tables are rather close together. I sat at the front bar, which was also small. The same owner mentioned that they do catering!

24 July 2014 Went for a late lunch about 3PM. There was a 'special' on pulled pork sandwiches. Have to say, that was one good sandwich! The 'cut chips' (french fries) were a tad bit soggy. They are fresh cut, and on the thin side, so it may take a little hotter oil to fry them quick without getting them on the limp side - but still good. The owner is a great guy, very helpful. A big plus is they don't charge for every little thing. My wife wanted a side salad instead of fries and this was accommodated at no charge. That said, the cost is about $2 to $3 more per plate than you might expect. Overall it was great, and I would recommend the place and will go again.

This restaurant just had a reopening on Wedderburn Loop as par to Jot's Resort in Gold Beach, OR. We went there for dinner and were greatly disappointed. The staff acted as if we were a nuisance even though we were the only customers in the place. The food was not good and the clam chowder was spicy. We got one of our meals done wrong and then they brought it back after the rest of the table was done. I asked for it to be free and they acted offended. The second time it came out it was wrong too. Terrible food, service and atmosphere. Do not go here!!!!!

Ate lunch here twice while staying at nearby Tu Tu Tun Lodge; indeed, our first visit was per the recommendation of the front desk person there. Super friendly place with better than expected food for this area. A BBQ pit had been built recently and we enjoyed its product - on first visit, I had the pulled pork sandwich and spouse had the apple and brie sandwich. Both delicious. The "fries" are kind of like thick-cut homemade potato chips with a sprinkle of Parmesan - way, way too good!!! Return visit with friends a couple of days later was also good - delish Thai claims and a few other appetizers (saving room for dinner later on). Service very quick on first visit, but kitchen was a bit slow on the second (mid-afternoon visit, so maybe short-staffed at that time). Good tap selection. Large restaurant, but the only views are from the bar area.

I have been to this restaurant four times in the last two weeks. Love it!!! Haven't had a bad meal and my favorite is their crab Mac and cheese. Service is always pleasant and plenty of time during my lunch break. Prices are a little higher than a burger shop but I am willing to pay for better food.
